Break Science and Alex B take over The Llama for these special post-Phish rages! These will be full on dance parties brought to us by three musicians who live to push the boundaries of electronic music.

Break Science's Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee are no strangers to Telluride, having performed at Telluride Jazz Festival and Pluneg Music Festival with a diverse range of artists from Slick Rick to John Scofield.

Recently the duo has been touring with Alex B's Pnuma Trio though the southeast after sending a month on the road with the legendary DJ - Rjd2.

Break Science

Through the ages of electronic rhythm & dance music spawns Break Science. Notorious instrumentalists & programming minds Adam Deitch & Borahm Lee delve deep to form a heavy, relentless performance. After years of touring & cutting samples for a variety of today's biggest hip hop artists, Break Science now implants these past experiences into a thought provoking, modern sound. This diversified duo has formulated huge bellowing electronic tracks, paying homage to the classic UK, U.S. & global beat classics.

As composers, they have conceptualized a monstrous live set for multi-genre crowds with inspirations originating back to the first days of electronic music, never playing the same set twice. Adam Deitch operates the percussive strike on both an acoustic & digital drum kit while Borahm Lee grinds circuit bending sounds with keys and a variety of digital synthesis. Break Science transmits a stimulating musical experience during each encounter with their audience.

Their electromechanical sound brings distinct melodies, dark moods, a steady tempo and style that hits on the traditions of Hip Hop, Dub Step, Electronic, Underground, Drum & Bass, IDM, Breaks & Afrobeat attracting a devout following of all generations. The relentless attack of warm driving bass lines, synchopated beats, live breaks and rolling soundwaves captivate the mind and awakens the intense live dance setting.

Break Science, currently constructing their debut studio album including original tracks & collaborations of numerous past and present artists - Arrives - March 2010

Alex B (Pnuma Trio)

If there is a spare minute in Alex B’s life, it is spent in the studio working on music. His use of a dizzying mixture of analog hardware and newer digital technology give him a signature sound that is difficult to pin down to just one (or two or three) genres. Layers and layers of synthesizer, bass and enticing effects are laid over broken hip-hop and down-tempo inspired beats to create rich textures with a jazz undercurrent.

The lush and dynamic quality of his music is a product of the time and care put into every element. Alex B takes sound design to the level of intricate craftsmanship, where every detail is scrutinized and refined.
